ALTAR OF THE DEAD
Wido Ramírez is originally from the town of Dolores Hidalgo in the state of Guanajuato and lives between Madrid and Mexico. He currently runs the cartonería workshop called Jirafalada, which is focused on the creation and promotion of Mexican cartonería.
We will celebrate together this holiday full of life, color, tradition and love for our loved ones.
Because by remembering those who are gone, we keep them alive and that is the best way to honor them.
Remembering their joy, their customs and their experiences makes the altar a place full of their memories, where they are brought back for a time.
Wido's process in the cardboard industry
Cartonería is a traditional Mexican technique that allows you to make any piece you can imagine using mainly paper and paste, and sometimes other materials such as wire, different types of paper or cardboard are added.
